Phillip Linquist M.Ed.CA, Dip Mus Ed, A.T.C.L
Music Director
Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Ecumenical Choir since 2009
Phillip began his musical career as both a singer and trumpeter, studying voice with the legendary Ruth Ladd and trumpet with Peter Walmsley OAM.
He has an extensive background in choral and orchestral music, performing and conducting for the Sydney Gilbert and Sullivan Society, The Opera House Trust, and the Festival of Sydney. Phillip is married to Suzanne, and together they have four children, all of whom share a strong love of — and active involvement in — music.

Heather Moen-Boyd
Organist
Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Ecumenical Choir since 2009
A graduate in organ performance from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Heather has served as organist and choir director at Scots Kirk Presbyterian Church, Mosman, since 2006, and is the coordinator of the annual inter-church Mosman Hymnfest. In addition to giving solo recitals throughout Sydney and beyond, she has accompanied numerous church and community choirs in major oratorio performances, including the long-running Good Friday presentations of Handel’s Messiah at Epping Baptist, and with the Hornsby–Ku-ring-gai Ecumenical Choir since its inaugural performance in 2009. Most recently, she accompanied the Academy Singers from the Blue Mountains in Duruflé’s Requiem.
In 2021 Heather was appointed organist to Macquarie University, where she performs for graduation ceremonies. She is also an active pianist: she plays with several groups providing music in aged-care facilities, performs in dance bands, and maintains a private teaching studio in Sydney’s Hills district.
